Hi my names Kerri i am a mother of 3 boys ive been working in child care for the past 6 months and am now studying for my cert III.So i will be poppng back and foreward with a few questions . 1st Q: would you be breaking confidentiality if you discussed a child/familys situation with the room leader or is it you only discuss these situations with the director/supervisor.

I believe as an assistant you should report your concerns to your group/room leader, they can take concerns to the director, so No I do not believe you are breaking confidentiality by discussing things of importance in relation to a child in your room/group with the room leader.
If the concerns are in relationship to the group leader I would go straight to the service director.Posted 4 months ago #
