Hello and welcome to The Australian Child Carers Forum.

We would like to get as much participation as possible, as the online community is what makes a forum a great resource.

Please introduce yourself, and tell us a little bit about yourself.

  2. Hello, My name is Lucas. I am the webmaster of this site, and the husband of Nicole who runs it. I am a father of one (and a half), and interested in the world of raising children.

I will hopefully contribute to more than just the running of this site, and will speak to you all soon.

Hello and welcome, I am Nicole and have designed this website. I am a mother and qualified child carer. I have made this site as I feel it is important that we (child carers) have somewhere to go to gain knowledge and strengthen others. I feel there are a lot of hard working, dedicated child carers that don't always get the support they need. I hope this website will be of a huge benefit to you, which you will use often to communicate your thoughts and ideas with other carers of children. So lets get this site started by adding our ideas in the forum.......
    Thank you

    Hi my name is Jayde.
I am just starting my Cert III in Childrens Studies. I am so far finding it a little difficult as I am doing it by correspondance & therefore have no real feedback on what I am doing. Like Jay, I hope you dont get sick of all my questions, I'm sure I'll have a few.

Welcome Jayde! Congratulations on starting your certificate III.
Ask as many questions as you like no matter how silly you feel they might be, you'll be surprised how many other people want to know the same thing. Hope that your fellow early childhood professionals can help out with answers, I'll do what I can.
If you can't find things on the site you need, just ask. :)

Welcome Kara, nice to meet you. Caring for children and working with them fulltime can be full on but also a benefit, I'm sure the families will appreciate your life experience as a mother.
If there is anything we can help you with just email us admin@australianchildcarers.com.au or add it to the forum to get as much feedback as possible.
