After a rate payers backlash, Parramatta Council has decided to back down on a proposed increase of more than 30 per cent in child-care centre fees. The increase would have seen child care costs move up to nearly $75 a day. Read more

It makes me wonder whether child care professionals will be receiving a similar percentage of rise in pay, probably not.
